Thank you for visiting my Wisdom From the Word website. You may have arrived here by accident or have been looking for a place on the web where you can receive Bible-based spiritual encouragement.

No matter how you arrived at my site, know that you are welcome. Let me tell you a little bit more about myself.

My Background

I have had the pleasure of pursuing two different careers in my life. I work in the field of communications technologies. And I also serve as a teacher and preacher of the Word of God.

The best way to describe my life in ministry, I think, would be to say that I am a journeyman. I have served in large and small churches and worked in various leadership positions in the local church.

I was licensed as a Baptist minister in 1994 and ordained in 2007. I have served as a layman and a clergyman in the church for over 30 years. I have never been a senior pastor, but I have often worked closely with senior pastors.

One of the benefits of being a journeyman is that you have opportunities to serve in different environments. I’ve learned that there is more than one way to minister well. I am thankful to the pastors who have shown me that.

I must say that it has been a privilege, and a joy, to serve the Lord in the preaching and teaching ministry. I want you to know that there have been difficult times when I had to struggle.

But these times have only strengthened my walk with the Lord and gave me insight into God’s grace and power that I otherwise would not have.

My Purpose

I would like to share with you some of the things God has given me from His Word over the years. I believe that you are here because God led you here. This is a place where you can receive the Word of God. 

God’s Word can give you what you need no matter what your need is. It will light the path of your life so that you can see your way to whatever God has for you. I will post recordings and videos of sermons that I have given over the years for you. I may even throw in a few blog posts.
